Top Creed Albums
Creed is a band that holds a very special place in my heart. It was first introduced to me by my father, who frequently listened to their music when he was my age. It was passed down to me, and has become a sort of comfort band. Creed does not only hold just sentimental value to me, however. Creed's music speaks to me on a deep level with their heavy inclusion of Christian themes in their songs. In a world full of secular and satanic influence, Creed seems to shine out as a counterexample as to what rock could be. Their song, "My Own Prison" spoke to me as I first found it in a time of extreme uncertainty and shame of my life, dealing with a relapsing porn addiction and a turbulent relationship with my girlfriend at the time. The song tells a story of a man who is condemened to damnation, but realizes that it was his own faults that led him there. Taking the song at face value, it serves almost as warning to live life as close to Christ as possible while you still can, but it also reminds us that God's mercy is available to all those who choose it. Other great songs include: "With Arms Wide Open," which focuses on conversion and the nature of God's love, "Higher," which focuses on the greatness of God's kingdom, and "Inside us All," a general ode to hope in the most dire of times.
