4/13/2026 - The Antichrist President?

Regardless of what you think about President Donald Trump, something has to be said about the recent events. As a Catholic, Trump's attacks on Pope Leo XIV have angered me to say the least, but, regardless of faith, Trump's most recent escapade into posting an image of himself as Jesus Christ healing the sick is most certainly a concerning indicator of the wrecklessness, if not evil, of Trump's character.

From a Christian perspective, this seems to be Antichristian behavior; the world's most powerful man blaspheming and equating himself to God? The Second Letter to the Thessalonians gave us a clear warning against this as a sign of the Antichrist, describing him as one "who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god and object of worship, so as to seat himself in the temple of God," (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

This post is not Trump's first escapade into idolatry. Back in March of 2025, a sculpture of a golden goat coated with 100 dollar bills located at Trump's Mar-a-Lago compound was revealed. On the bills, Trump's face, and "In God We Trust" replaced by "In Trump We Trust," This exhibit bares a striking resemblence to the golden calf of the book of Exodus.

Other parallels between Trump and the Antichrist

Trump's recent anti-Catholic actions - Rev 13:7
"It was also allowed to wage war against the holy ones and conquer them, and it was granted authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation." He has threatened the Vatican, he has insulted Pope Leo XIV, who has righteously called out Trump's awful war in Iran, and his military refused to hold Mass on Good Friday for the Catholic soldiers.

Trump's war on Iran - Rev 13:13, Isaiah 14:16,
"It performed great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of everyone." Trump has spent billions of dollars barbarically attacking the infrastructure and resources of Iran by means of missiles and bombs, even threatening to end the entire Iranian civilization; "When they see you they will stare, pondering over you: “Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms?"

Trump's use of AI - Rev 13:15
"It was then permitted to breathe life into the beast’s image, so that the beast’s image could speak and [could] have anyone who did not worship it put to death." We have all seen Trump's incessant use of AI, making images and videos portraying himself as mighty and powerful; doing good deeds without actually doing them.

Conclusion

If Trump's devotion to money, not America, and his Gestapo method of removing immigrants don't disturb you, these signs surely will. I earnestly call upon all Catholics and Christians alike to awake and end all support for this Administration. Midterms are just months away, and it is up to the good American people to render him a lame duck by putting God-fearing politicians into office.
Above all else, let us pray for peace and await the coming of the Blessed Hope, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
